If you are a man looking to buy lingerie for the lady
in your life, it can be difficult knowing what to choose.
It’s not just the style and colour you have to
worry about, but, most importnatly, the size. Buy something
too big and she’ll be offended (she’ll think
that you think she looks bigger than she really is).
Buy something too small and she’ll be too embarrassed
to tell you (for fear of you thinking that she is ‘fat’)
and the lingerie will get put away to the back of the
wardrobe, never to see the light of day again.

COLOUR
White and black are the most popular colours for lingerie,
so if you are unsure what colour to choose, you cannot
go far wrong with one of these.
If you feel that white or black are too ‘safe’
and want to choose something with a bit more colour,
then use your detective powers - does she have a favourite
colour that she has mentioned, or is there a predominant
colour in her wardrobe?
Think about what colours suit her and then make a decision
from there.
Bear in mind, of course, that if your lady is shy,
a bright red bra and knickers set may be a turn off
for her – a gentle pink or baby blue set may be
better suited.
And, if your lady is the opposite, ie. outgoing and
bold, then she may not be a ‘frills’ type
of lady and may prefer lingerie that makes a bold statement.
FABRIC
Intimate lingerie - as opposed to the type of underwear
worn day-to-day under work clothes etc -
is meant to look and feel sexy. It is not just about
the way lingerie looks, it’s how it feels –
silky lingerie is very sensuous.
It also clings to the curves, flattering your lady’s
shape, whatever size she is.
STYLE
When choosing the style of lingerie to buy, consider
your lady’s personality in the bedroom. Is she
submissive, sweet or shy? Or is she naughty and confident?
Thinking about her bedroom personality will give you
a good idea of the right type of lingerie to buy her.
Ie Something conservative for the former and something
a little more risqué for the latter.
SIZE
Buy the wrong size and you could be in the doghouse
for ages! If you don’t know what size your lady
is, try buying something like a baby doll or a camisole
that isn’t that fitted., so you have a bit of
leeway.
Or, if you are observant, sneak a look at her favourite
bra and knickers and see what size they are.
If she has a good friend who you could ask, don’t
be frightened to do so – it’s better to
get the right size lingerie than the wrong and it’ll
make your lady appreciate you even more!
